Suzi Edwards-Alexander

Human-Centered Recruiter & Fractional People Person

Suzi is spearheading our initiative to grow our team with more coding architects. She has almost 30 years of experience hiring technologists all over the world. If Suzi has contacted you about a position at factor10, you're in good hands.

Suzi, about herself:

The best thing anyone ever said about me was that I ask great questions, and really care about the answers.

I've spent almost 30 years in tech, including 15 years with ThoughtWorks, where I hired lots of fabulous technologists whose books you’ve read and conference talks you've enjoyed. I established and rebooted recruiting & HR operations in eight countries, before moving into product & digital marketing for the Tech Radar. I’m now a fractional People Person helping thoughtful companies build culture and incredible teams. I’m obsessed with belonging, levelling the playing field for under-represented people in tech (especially women, neurodiverse people and LGBTQI+ folx) and toppling the patriarchy.

  • You’ve been invited to give the keynote at your dream conference. What’s the title of your talk, and why?

“How factor10 created the most thought-provoking recruitment process in Sweden, and how it changed the balance of the team forever.”

I’m living in the future a little bit with this one, but I’m hopeful we’re creating something really interesting here.

  • What’s something about factor10 culture that makes a real difference in your day-to-day?

All this talk of fika has meant I’m visiting a lot more of the Scandi bakeries in London. My first couple of weeks coincided with semla bun season…which can only make life better.

  • What’s the best feedback you’ve received from a client or teammate?

“That was a really enjoyable conversation!” The team are thoughtful and very self-reflective, which makes working out how we find more of them much easier.

  • If you had to sum up what keeps you here in one sentence, what would it be?

It’s the definition of a consultant’s dream assignment because I get to build on work I’ve done before, within a different culture/context.

  • Tell us something about a colleague that they’re too humble to say…

Markus makes really really great music recommendations.
